Smart Bookmark does NOT collect any user data.
This extension requests the following permissions solely for functionality. No data is uploaded to any server:

This extension uses the favicon permission to display website icons for bookmarks and recently visited sites on the new tab page. The favicon images help users quickly identify and recognize their saved bookmarks and browsing history. No favicon data is collected, stored externally, or shared with any third parties. All favicon retrieval happens locally within the browser.
Fully Local: All data processing occurs locally in your browser
No Server Communication: Extension does not send data to any servers
No Analytics: Does not use Google Analytics or other tracking tools
No Ads: Completely free with no advertisements
If user enables Chrome Sync:
Settings, quick links, and smart groups will auto-sync via Chrome Storage Sync API to user's other devices
Sync data is encrypted and transmitted by Google
Developers cannot access this data
Users can disable sync anytime in Chrome settings
